Good morning…

I was up at the crack of dawn, or would have been if we had things like sunrises here. I looked out the window at the downpour and the grey rolling skies, and went back to sleep for another hour or so…

It’s yet another grey, rainy day here in Virginia so I’m having my customary cup of hot tea and listening to the brightest, happiest music I have in an attempt to ward off the doldrums of this state.

I really shouldn’t complain I suppose as it’s always like this here in the spring. Soon enough it’ll be ‘surface of the sun’ hot out there as it will be summer. Fortunately the townhouse here has central air. 😉

Virginia has about the worst weather of any place in the US as it’s bitterly cold in the winter and it doesn’t snow here… It ices. Then in the spring it’s either cold and wet or hot and wet depending on what time of day it is, followed by insanely hot and humid summers. About the best time of year here is the 3-4 days of fall when it cools off enough to actually go outside yet isn’t rainy or overcast.

It really does remind me of the time I spent in Bangor Washington, only I don’t believe they can fry an egg on the sidewalk up there in July… Oh, and Virginia doesn’t smell like a pine forest like Bangor does (which was really nice). Virginia smells like car exhaust, cement, and asphalt.

Well, enough bitching. I have web sites to work on and I need them to be happy and up-beat so I’m going to crank up the laptop’s sound system and get to it!

Have a great day out there…
