I have a concern…

And it’s with sales people.

Sales tend to be the employees in your org that are most likely to get phished because they typically aren’t the sharpest tool in the box and they live in email. Logically, because of this, they are the employees you would want the most security on…

But you can’t because they insist on weird email integrations such as CRM systems that don’t work with your 2FA setup and require the ability to not only read all of their email, but to also send emails as said employee in clear contention with your sender policies that exist for security.

They also insist on lots of sketchy scripts and suspect browser plugins, which adds to the problem.

And then they get hacked because that totally legit link that goes to a URL in Russia in the equally legit email sent from India just wants their login info, or get your domain blacklisted as a mail sender because they found some script that will automate Outlook into vomiting 2000 emails an hour…

And then they’ll blame it on I.T.

Sigh…
