Well, I managed to escape briefly on or about Thursday. This led to Aryntha, Rai and I heading into the Pike National Forest for a photo-op with a few old AT&T towers. While we were there we got some pretty stunning pictures of the rest of the place too.
The first one I’m posting here is from the very top of the mountain that the AT&T microwave repeater “Devil’s Head”, an active AT&T microwave facility, sits on… It was a fair hike to get this photo as one has to traverse a big pile of rocks, but it’s worth it.
And people ask why we search out these old cold war towers…
The second shot is from a site called “Westcreek” which is probably still an active AT&T facility… Imagine having this view from your office.
